Description

This is a Notice of Proposed Contract Action. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. This Notice of Proposed Contract Action is for LoPro radiation detector maintenance and repair services to be procured utilizing simplified acquisition procedures and to be awarded under firm-fixed price terms and conditions. �The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) contracting activity contemplates �procurement of a sole source contract with PHDS Co., the original equipment manufacturer, for support of their LoPro radiation detector in accordance with the attached SOO and seeks market responses providing a capability statement limited to five (5) pages or less (ninety (90) calendar dayvalidity cost estimate, preferred, but not required). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334519. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties have until 1 December 2023, 1200 EDT from the date of publication of the synopsis to submit in writing, to the identified point of contact, clear and convincing evidence of their qualifications and/or capabilities, or competitive quotations expressing interest in this requirement. Such qualifications and/or capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of augmenting market research. Responses received after 1 December 2023, 1200 EDT , or without the required information, will be considered non-responsive to this Notice of Proposed Contract Action and will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to conduct this effort as a full-and-open competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the Government's discretion. In the absence of qualified sources, a contract will be awarded under Sole Source Justification procedures, pursuant to 10 United States Code (U.S.C.) and FAR 13.501. All inquiries must be submitted in writing to the address stated herein and to the attention of Ernest Caldwell Jr, Contract Specialist. Responses to this sources sought must be received by 1 December 2023, 1200 EDT. Responses must include your business name, point of contact, address, and telephone number with area code.
