- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection intends to contract with SAP National Security Services, Inc, Newtown Square PA for SAP NS2 software upgrade and maintenance services for proprietary software. � Sole Source Justification: The statutory authority for use of �other than full and open competition� for this transaction is 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The requirement is for the continuation of software maintenance agreements to ensure ongoing support is provided to enable CBP to efficiently and effectively maintain and operate its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. SAP provides for the transactional processing, data capture and manipulation, and reporting of all financial and associated activity related to the financial, procurement, and property functions at CBP. SAP is the only vendor capable of modifying the software originally purchased by CBP and providing the necessary maintenance and support. Any disruption of this support would severely impact CBP�s ability to accomplish its mission by interfering with the functionality of SAP software previously purchased by the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no formal solicitation package is available.� No award will be made on the basis of any proposal or other information received in response to this notice, and this is a notification of intent to acquire supplies/services and not a request for proposals.� The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in the preparation of responses to this announcement.� This is the only notice that will be issued for these goods/services.
