Description

Construction Services for Project No. 593-23-306, Repairs of Equipment in 3 Mechanical Rooms This is a pre-solicitation announcement only. Solicitation documents will be available on or about November 28, 2023. The solicitation will contain all necessary solicitation instructions. Offers will only be requested and accepted from contractors who were awarded a Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 21 Multiple-Award Construction Contract (MACC) Group 2 from Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO 21). The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Small business size standard is $45M. Per VAAR 836.204, magnitude of the project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Questions regarding this pre-solicitation must be sent in writing to jessica.newman2@va.gov. Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 21 will be issuing a request for proposal for a general construction contractor to repair and replace damaged and missing steam straight pipe insulation. Removal of all Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) from mechanical rooms and re-installed into the adjacent electrical substation rooms. The VA is requesting new disconnects in weatherproof housings to be added adjacent to the existing motor where one is not already provided. New control wiring and power conductors with associated conduits, couplings, fitting, and bracketry as required. All VFDs shall be tested to ensure proper function and original functionality is maintained. The duration of this project is approximately 90 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP) is issued.
