- Description
- The Interior Business Center (IBC), Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD), in support of the Department of the Interior's (DOI) Bureau of Land Management (BLM), has a requirement for fully contractor operated and maintained Type II helicopter services to support fire suppression and natural resource activities. One helicopter will be based in Lakeview, OR and one will be based in Twin Falls, ID to support missions including, but not limited to, interagency fire management program support such as wildland fire suppression, fire monitoring, initial attack, and related resource activities. Some technical flights are conducted in a high angle vertical environment with minimal rotor clearance. Contractor may be required to operate from an alternate base when dispatched by the Government. The Contractor shall possess a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certificate issued under 14 CFR Part 135, 133, and 137. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is December 15, 2023 with a projected closing date of January 19, 2024. It is a requirement that the successful awardee be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). This solicitation is small business set-aside under NAICS code 481211, Nonscheduled Air Passenger Transportation, which has a small business size standard of 1,500 employees or less.
