- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation for a construction project Project 583-24-505 SWITCH GEAR ROOM COOLING It is the intention of the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center to solicit bids for the following: The Contractor shall furnish and install a 15-ton packaged air conditioning system to provide necessary cooling to the approximately 2300 sq. ft. room A-B140 Electrical Switchgear room on the basement floor as detailed in the Technical Requirements section, project documents, and VHA Master Construction Specifications. Installation shall include all required work items including but not limited to existing exhaust fan removal, concrete pad pouring, air conditioning unit installation, electrical installation, supply and return duct installation, and BMS integration/configuration. Completion of this project will provide necessary space cooling to critical high voltage electrical components that require room conditioning for proper function. The above construction Statement Of Work (SOW) constitutes a basic outline of work and in no way outlines all of the details for the construction of this project. It is recommended that a detailed inspection of the premises, drawings and specification be initiated to determine the needs and conditions for the construction of this project. Period of Performance: All phases of work completed within TBD days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This project will be procured as 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 236220, Commercial & Institutional Building Construction. Contractors with a standard size of $45M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Contract awardee shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, training, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications & drawings provided. The VA will issue an IFB on or about 17 December 2023 via www.sam.gov . A site visit will be scheduled prior to the closing of solicitation, and the date, time and location will be posted in the solicitation.
