SOURCES SOUGHT This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government requirement and to determine the method of acquisition.� It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.� Responses will not be considered as proposals or quotes.� No award will be made as a result of this notice.� The Government will�NOT�be responsible for any costs incurred by the respondents to this notice.� This notice is strictly for research and information purposes only. Background:� The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Library Council, which serves all eight Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) technical directorates, and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), requires unlimited, simultaneous access to peer-reviewed, academic literature in a wide array of scientific fields and engineering disciplines.� Additionally, the Library Council requires the ability to download full-text content for offline use and access to the content from any AFRL location as well as compatibility with the EZproxy authentication service, employed by AFRL.� AFRL locations include Arlington, VA; Edwards AFB; Eglin AFB, Fort Sam Houston; Kirtland AFB; Rome Research Site; and Wright-Patterson AFB. Purpose and Objective:� The Government envisions an annual subscription to required database(s), allowing for multi-site access and covering a broad range of content made available throughout the subscription period for a basic, one-year period.� Details concerning individual database requirements are listed in Section III, herein. Project Requirements: Covers a broad range of electrical engineering topics, with a focus on electrical, electronics, and computer engineering literature. Search interface that includes numerous primary categories and ability to perform keyword and other specialized topical queries for effective searches. The ability to download HTML or PDF versions of documents. Enable users to create user accounts to establish alerts and save searches. Subscription is able to provide access to multiple users via IP address (multi-user, multi-campus subscription). eJournals, eBooks, and papers and chapters dating back several decades. Multiple language translations of content.
