Description
The purpose of this Industry Day is to provide an overview to the dredging industry regarding initial construction of the Flagler County, FL CSRM Project within the City of Flagler Beach, Florida. This will be in-person only w/no streaming webinar. DATE: Wednesday, December 13, 2023. TIME: 09:00 pm � 03:00 PM EST LOCATION: City of Flagler Beach - City Hall Main Conference Room - 105 S 2nd Street Flagler Beach, FL 32136 (Parking Available in Public Parking Lots around City Hall) NAICS Code 237990: Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction Small Business Standard: $45 million Magnitude of Construction: between $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00. This is a SAVE-THE-DATE special notice. Draft plans and specifications will be uploaded along with a list of questions to be used during contractor breakout sessions to the SAM.gov website under the subject Notice ID. All interested Offerors are required to access SAM.gov for future updates.� (Draft Plans and Specifications have been uploaded) DESCRIPTION: The agenda includes: 9:00 am � 9:30 am (Arrival/Meet and Greet) 9:30 am � 10:30 am (Formal Presentation by USACE Team) Project Management Overview � Jason Harrah (Project Manager) Engineering Overview � Rosie Pinto (Engineering Technical Lead) Environmental Overview � Lindsay Brantley/Julia Lombardo (Environmental Leads) Construction Overview (i.e. sequence of work, etc.) �Paul Cotter and/or Gavin Jackson (Area Engineer and Resident Engineer) Contracting Overview Manuela Voicu, Guesley Leger Nearby Projects Overview � Jason Harrah (Project Manager) Sponsor Remarks (Flagler County and/or City of Flagler Beach Representatives) 10:30 am � 11:00 am Open Q&A Regarding Formal Presentation 11:00 am � 12:30 pm Lunch Break and Contractors can visit the project site, look at staging areas, beach access, etc. 12:30 pm � 3:00 pm Prime Contractor Breakout Sessions - Depending on how many contractors we have this could be shortened, but we will have 30 min breakout sessions with each prime contractor individually to solicit feedback of the project with 5 specific questions pre-determined by the project delivery team. If we only have a few contractors this could end sooner. This will be decided the day of the meeting based on how many contractors show up. If interested in attending this event, firms can register utilizing sign-up sheet of paper on the desk as you walk in the conference room with 30 min time slots where contractors should write their names down on a first come first serve basis and request a 30-minute breakout session to answer the Government�s questions. Please indicate your preferred time slot between 1230 � 3 pm. Times cannot be guaranteed and specified times will be provided before the 11:00 am break. Breakout Session Questions: What concerns do you have with the proposed accesses and road closure schedule coordinated with FDOT and Local Sponsor? Will upland sand source be necessary for access and working pad construction for access off of A1A? Any concerns with obtaining and operating under a FDOT permit for the portions designated on A1A and FL 100? Is the schedule for portion of the work north/south of the pier achievable given the road closure and access schedule provided? Concerns with adjacent projects (i.e. seawall, pier construction, paving)?
