- AeroTrak-Plus Portable Particle Counter A100 Series and Batteries Product Service Code: 6640 NAICS Code: 334513 Place of Performance: National Institutes of Health 10 Center Drive Building 10, Room TBD Bethesda, MD 20892 POTS: 24-002085 Description This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. �A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a one-time firm fixed priced sole source award to TSI, Inc. located at 500 Cardigan Road, Shoreview, MN 55126 for three (3) AeroTrak-Plus Portable Particle Counter A100 Series instruments and batteries. Supplies: Line Item: 001 Product Number: A100-31 Description: AeroTrak-Plus Portable Particle Counter A100 Series Quantity 3 Line Item: 002 Product Number: BAT-A100� Description: Batteries Quantity 3 The Department of Transfusion Medicine, Center for Cellular Engineering has a bona fide need for an additional three (3) TSA AeroTrak A100-50 portable total particle counters and batteries to monitor air quality in controlled classified spaces (ISO8, ISO7 and ISO5) used for the�Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) manufacturing which is regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. �The Department of Transfusion Medicine, Center for Cellular Engineering currently has existing AeroTrak A100-50 portable equipment.� To ensure equipment compatibility and consistency the new instruments must be compatible with the existing equipment. �The new devices must be compatible with existing devices and must use the same software interfaces that allow data to be downloaded and trended in an identical manner. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 � Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.� Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
