- This Request for Information (RFI) is the initiation of Market Research under Part10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) DOD�s Optical Enterprise (OFE) will be resoliciting The Lenses requirement which has been in place since 2019. All Optical Lenses Dec 14, 2023 07:35:05 PM GMT 1 submissions must be in compliance with the following specifications. SCHEDULE OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES - LENSES ITEM DESCRIPTION: 1. Single Vision, Semi-Finished Plastic, hard resin, CR 39, non-coated, minimum 72mm diameter, Polycarbonate minimum 76mm. Base curve must be within +/- 0.25 diopter. Required minimum center thickness shall be as follows with variance of the center thickness of +2mm: Base Min center thickness 0.25 14.0mm 2.25 14.0 4.25 14.0 6.25 10.0 8.25 10.0 10.25 15.0 2. Single Vision, Semi-finished, Aspheric Plastic, hard resin, CR 39, non-coated, minimum 65mm diameter. Base curve shall range from 12.0 to 20.0 diopters in 2 diopter increments, Polycarbonate Base Curve High Index 1.67 up to 11 Base Curve. For all lots, the base curve must be within +/- 1.00 diopter and shall remain constant throughout life of contract. 3. Bifocal, ST-28, Semi-Finished Plastic, hard resin, CR 39, non-coated, minimum 72mm diameter, and maximum 76 mm. Base curve must be within +/- 0.25 diopter. Add powers range from +0.75 to +3.50 diopters in 0.25 increments and +4.00. Required minimum center thickness shall be as follows with variance of the center thickness of +2mm Polycarbonate up to 8.00 Base curve up to a +3.00 add. Base Min center thickness 0.25 12.0mm 2.25 12.0 4.25 11.0 6.25 9.0 8.25 10.0 10.25 14.0 4. Bifocal, ST-35, Semi-Finished Plastic, hard resin, CR 39, non-coated, minimum 72mm diameter, maximum 76mm. Plus sphere from plano to +8.00 power in 0.25 increments. Minus sphere from -0.25 to -10.00 in 0.25 increments. Compound � 0.25, -0.25 to -7.00, -3.50 in increments of 0.25 for both sphere and cylinder. Compound +0.25, +0.25 to +7.00, -3.50 in increments of 0.25 for both sphere and cylinder. Plano cylinder - 0.25 to �5.00, in 0.25 increments. Spherical lens range available from plano to +8.00 for plus lenses and � 0.25 to �10.00 for minus lenses in 0.25 diopter increments. Compound lens range available from plano, -0.25 to +7.00, -3.50 for plus lenses and -0.25, -0.25 to � 7.00, -3.50 for minus lenses in 0.25 diopter increments. All spherical and cylinder powers are in 0.25 diopter increments. 9. Bifocal, ST-28, Finished Plastic, hard resin, CR 39, non-coated, minimum 72mm diameter. Spherical power from Plano to +2 diopters in 0.25 diopter increments with an add power of +1.00 to +3.00 diopters in 0.25 diopter increments. 10. Single Vision, Semi-Finished, Hi Index Plastic, hard resin, coated, minimum 72mm diameter. 1.60 index with a base of 0.50, 2.00, 4.00, 6.00, 8.00, 10.00, variance of +/- 0.50 diopters. 11. Single Vision, Semi-Finished, Hi Index Plastic, hard resin, coated, minimum 72mm diameter. 1.67 index with a base of only available in a +0.50 with +1.00 to +3.00 add in >25 diopter increments. 12. Bifocal, ST-28, Semi-Finished, Hi Index Plastic, hard resin, coated, minimum 75mm diameter. 1.60 index with a base of 0.50, 2.50, 8.00 and 10.00 variance of +/- 0.50 diopters. Single Vision, Finished, Hi Index Plastic, hard resin, coated, minimum 72mm diameter. 1.60 index Spherical power ranges from �5.00 to -7.50 in 0.25 diopter increments with a cylinder range of plano to -2.50 diopters in 0.25 diopter increments 15.
