- Description
- National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Ames Research Center is hereby requesting information through this notice from interested parties for NASAs Digital Information Platform (DIP) sub-project of Air Traffic Management eXploration (ATM-X) regarding information relevant to integrated digital rerouting operations for domestic and oceanic flights. The overall goal of the DIP is to accelerate transformation of the National Airspace System (NAS) and airspace operations through advanced, data-driven, digital services for both conventional and emergent operations to promote safe, efficient, and sustainable aviation operations. The DIP sub-project is focused on designing, developing, and demonstrating a digital data ecosystem to enable improved air traffic decision making. More specifically, the primary focus of the DIP is to demonstrate the benefits of an easily accessible cloud-based digital information platform utilized by data and service providers and operators to gather and access real-time and historical data. The DIP will look to promote viable business relationships that facilitate one-to-many shared services model rather than traditional one-to-one services model. The DIP is interested in receiving information from stakeholders on challenges and needs for a digital service for domestic and oceanic airborne rerouting and trajectory updates. Through this Request for Information (RFI), the DIP is looking to understand use cases, challenges, information and technology gaps, and solutions, while assuring interoperability through operation standardization. The RFI responses will be used for the planning and concept development for the second Sustainable Flight National Partnership Operational (SFNP-Ops) Demonstration of the DIP sub-project scheduled to be conducted in FY27. Instructions for submitting a response are included in the attachment.
