Description: The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (hereinafter referred to as �the contractor� or �MAC� or �DME MAC�) to provide specified health insurance benefit administration services, including Medicare claims processing and payment services, in support of the �traditional� Medicare program (also known as the Medicare fee-for-service or FFS, program) for Jurisdiction A (JA). Jurisdiction A includes the states and territories of Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
