Description
THIS IS A SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a Request for Proposal. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This is strictly market research to determine availability and adequacy of potential sources with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received because of this announcement. A request for a solicitation will not receive a response. The General Services Administration (GSA), Region 05, is seeking a qualified General Contractor (GC) to repair incipient spalling concrete and structural cover, remove� brick, remove and replace exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS) at leaks in mechanical shafts, and other collateral construction work.� The work will occur at current and former areas of water infiltration on structural foundation building elements (walls, slabs, columns, and beams) at the John C. Kluczynski (JCK) Federal Building, 230 South Dearborn Street and the United States Post Office (USPO), 211 South Clark Street in Chicago, Illinois. The construction cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $3,000,000.00. The performance period is 180 calendar days total for both phases from receipt of onsite Notice to Proceed. The onsite work is anticipated to start on or about April 2024. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 236220 with a small business size standard of $45.0 million. Offerors will be asked to submit a minimum of three relevant past performance references for� similar projects to evaluate their experience and past performance including qualifications of key personnel, a project management plan/approach, and qualifications and experience of key personnel.� To be considered a similar project, the project must have involved repair of structural foundation building elements (walls, slabs, columns, and beams) and replacement of EIFS comparable in size, scope, and substantially completed within the last (5) years. The project must have been in an occupied and functioning office building. If you are an interested party and believe you are qualified to act as a contractor for this project, please provide the following information:� 1. A short statement regarding your business� expertise and experience on projects similar in scope and size as described above. 2. Indicate any and all applicable small business representation(s),( 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Women Owned, etc.) 3. Do you have bonding capability to cover 100% of the construction cost? 4. Include three successful projects completed within the last five years for similar size and scope. Please explain the characteristics of the project related to the characteristics of this project using the attached Experience Summary form. 5. Provide a customer point of contact for each project listed (telephone and email address). 6. Please indicate your intent to submit an offer on a subsequent solicitation. 7. Provide SAM.gov Unique Entity Identifier.
