Page 4 of 4 THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE REPRESENTING A MARKET SURVEY AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, PROPOSAL ABSTRACTS, QUOTATIONS OR INVITATION FOR BIDS (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. (b) Although ""proposal,"" ""offeror,"" contractor, and ""offeror"" may be used in this Sources Sought notice, any response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) Any information received from a contractor in response to this Sources Sought may be used in creating a solicitation. Any information received which is marked with a statement, such as ""proprietary"" or ""confidential,"" intended to restrict distribution will not be distributed outside of the Government, except as required by law. (d) This Sources Sought is issued by VISN 2 Contracting Office in Syracuse, NY for the purpose of collecting information about Solid Waste Removal at the Syracuse VA Medical Center located at: 800 Irving Avenue Syracuse, NY 13210. The VA is seeking to provide for this requirement within 60 days of the award of the contract. The NAICS code identified for this requirement is 562111 (Solid Waste Collection). (e) Cursory market research has identified several businesses that may be able to provide for this requirement. Contractors that are able to meet the requirements in the attachment are encouraged to email a capability statement and full information to Jason Rundle at jason.rundle@va.gov. Please send all inquiries to: jason.rundle@va.gov by with a subject line of: Response to: Solid Waste Removal (Syracuse VAMC). Phone calls will not be accepted. - Part of the purpose of this Sources Sought is to determine the viability of set aside to a specific socio-economic category. Contractors shall identify the NAICS code for the services being offered as well as their business size status when operating under the above NAICS (ie: SDVOSB,VOSB,Small, Large, etc). This information will be used to determine the viability of a set aside for this requirement. Contractors Shall Also Identify: Federal Supply Schedules that may carry the desired services. Pertinent point of contact for company, contractor DUNS number for size standard and socioeconomic verification in SAM and VIP. Include any relevant comments about the Attachment(s) if applicable. Details of Requirement are as follows: Pick-up and proper disposal of municipal solid waste and recycling/cardboard from the Syracuse VA Medical Center & Rome VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic. The contractor shall provide pick-up and disposal of Municipal Solid Waste from a contractor-leased thirty-five (35) cubic yard self-contained dumpster with a built-in compactor on a twice per week schedule, and provide pick-up and disposal of recycling (paper, plastic, metal, and glass) from VA-owned containers on a twice per week schedule and provide weekly pick-up and disposal of all baled cardboard and recycled paper from the SCI back loading dock. Pick-up and disposal of VA-owned thirty-five (35) cubic yard roll on/roll off container on an as needed basis located outside near the back SCI loading dock at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. The contractor shall provide pick-up and disposal of Municipal Solid Waste from a contractor-leased Eight (8) cubic yard self-contained dumpster on a once per week schedule, and provide pick-up and disposal of cardboard from a contractor-leased six (6) cubic yard self-contained dumpster on a once per week schedule, and provide pick-up and disposal of recycling (paper, plastic, metal, and glass) from Two (2) contractor-leased 95 gallon containers on a once per week schedule, and the Contractor shall provide pick-up and disposal of the 30 cubic yard Roll on, Roll off dumpster on an as needed basis at the Rome VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic located at Griffiss Business Park, 125 Brookley Rd, Building 510, Rome, NY 13441.
