Description

The Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency, Healthcare Operations, Pharmacy Operations Division (POD) intends to award a firm-fixed price non-personal service contract as follow-on contract to HT001119F0024 to Becton, Dickinson, and Company (BD) for continuation of services for, inpatient pharmacy dispensing solution (PIAS-E) in accordance with FAR 6.203-1 Only one source. PIAS-E improves inventory accountability, streamlines pharmacy workflow processes, and increases patient safety as well as satisfaction. PIAS-E provides a decentralized point-of-care medication distribution solution at the Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) to include enterprise managed clinical and functional configurations. PIAS-E provides secure storage cabinets that support medication dispensing at the location of administration to a beneficiary. The current PIAS-E solution is the BD/CareFusion� platform, to include maintenance and support activities. The estimated period of performance is for a 12 month base, and four 12 month option periods with an intended award date of 1 May 2024.
