Description
Request for Information Repair Plumbing, Domestic, Chilled/Hot Water for Secured Facility on Kirtland AFB, NM Description � This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. Responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. A response to this RFI is necessary to assist the Government in determining the potential levels of interest, adequate competition, and to assess technical capabilities within the Large and Small Business Communities to provide the required capabilities. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this RFI or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this RFI. It will also not consider any solutions that are proprietary.� Background �This RFI is being issued to support the requirement development for the potential construction effort to Repair plumbing, domestic, chilled/hot water including demolition and replacement of 2 high efficiency chillers and associated components, demolition and replacement of 2 high efficiency condensed boilers and associated components, remove and replace approximately 16 lavatory faucets and flush valves, 21 water closets and urinals, approximately 1 faucet on service sink, 2 electric water coolers, 2 lift stations, 3 sump pumps, 2 grinder pumps, and 54 drain trap guards. Electrical work includes new power connections for boiler systems, new power connections for hot water pumps, new power connections for chilled water pumps, new power connections for new air-cooled chillers.� *Kirtland AFB has Base Standardization in effect for chillers to be Johnson Controls (York, Quantech) chillers. Response Instructions Section 1 � Cover Letter � The Cover letter must include the following information: Company Name Company Business size with socioeconomic status based on North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) 238220. Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code � Section 2 - Market Research Questions � The purpose of this section is to obtain information that will assist in understanding current DoD vendor capabilities in performing similar repairs. Responses will be used in the development of technical requirements for Repair Plumbing, Domestic, Chilled/Hot Water for Secured Facility on Kirtland AFB, NM. Provide 2 projects and associated Contract Numbers previously completed within the last 6 years and answer the following:� List types of systems upgraded i.e., Building Automation Systems, Direct Digital Control, control panels, etc: Was the project a Design/Build effort, or a Construction Only effort: List quantities of chillers, boilers, and plumbing components replaced for project: List professional services provided to ensure the upgraded system was fully operational: Overall project deliverables: Square Footage of projects: List testing required for projects: Anticipated lead time for chillers and boilers listed in Drawing Sheets M002 & M003. Given lead time, provide an resultant Period of Performance for construction. Anticipated components of Heating System for 100% redundant high efficiency condensing boiler? Anticipated components of Chilled Water System for 100% redundant high efficiency chillers and pumping systems? Submission Instructions Responses to this RFI must total no more than 10 pages, with text no smaller than 10 point; however, text included in graphics, tables, and figures can be no smaller than 9 point. The cover page and cover letter are not included in the total page count. Any material submitted in excess of the 10-page limit will not be considered. The submissions must be in sufficient detail and clarity to provide information needed to assess your company�s ability to provide a solution. Written comments and information are requested on or before 31 January 2024. Late filed comments will be considered to the extent practicable.
