Description
This will be a sole source effort with The Boeing Company. This effort isfor the repair of two (2) each of the Printed Wiring Board and Circuit Card Assembly, Part Number (P/N): F659-32484-2, NSN 5998-01-568-3773 & (P/N) F659-32426-1, NSN 5998-01-568-3780. Successful repair of the Printed Wiring Board and CCA will be a positive step in the direction of providing continuous sustainment to the MUSTANG system. This acquisition will benefit the USAF by sustaining the MUSTANG testers which will enable the warfighter to continue to test and fault isolate deficiencies in Line Replaceable Units (LRUs). These actions shall ensure proper operation of MUSTANG components, resulting in less Mission Incapable Awaiting Parts (MICAP) requisitions. Background: The MUSTANG test system is an upgraded version of the Off-Aircraft Pylon Tester (OAPT). The Air Force, Boeing, and other contractors have developed multiple conventional weapon delivery capabilities on the B-52. Each system was maintained independently with diverse maintenance concepts/procedures. Some systems required various testers to be used following carriage equipment upload on the aircraft (A/C) to determine operational readiness. Installation of the Integrated Conventional Stores Management System (ICSMS) on the B-52H via the Conventional Enhancement Modification (CEM) highlighted the need for a maintenance tool to determine the operational readiness (certification) of the A/C and of the carriage equipment prior to carriage equipment and weapons being loaded on the A/C. The MUSTANG maintains this capability as well as adding the necessary hardware and software to test the nuclear weapon delivery capability of the aircraft. The MUSTANG test system integrates the functionality of the OAPT, the WPT, and the AN/GWM-9 tester and is used as a test tool to verify the B-52H weapon delivery system is functional and safe for uploading weapons. Included in this testing are aircraft external interfaces, weapon bay interfaces, ejector interfaces, and line replaceable unit (LRU) interfaces. We are looking to establish a 1 year contract for this effort.
