- Questions received for 36C24224Q0282 Valet Parking and Parking Attendant Answers appear underneath each question. Q1) What is the number of cars per day that will be valet parked? A1) 50-80 cars per day Q2) In section B of the Statement of Work (SOW) it says Contractor shall provide Walkie-Talkies. Can we provide cell phones instead? A2) Yes, the Contractor can provide cell phones. Q3) Is Parking Lot L accessible to the public? A3) There is a section set aside for Valet Parking only. Q4) Is there a cost for parking? A4) Complementary valet parking with no tipping. Q5) When can we visit the site? A5) Due to ongoing construction, a site visit is not being offered. Q6) For Lot L, are you requiring a minimal staff based on current volumes? A6) Adequate staffing is needed to cover all periods, Service Contract Labor Standards apply and the SOW indicates wait times of 10 minutes or less. Q7) Is Valet a new Service? A7) No. Q8) Will the Parking Lot Attendant for Lot B be staffed during breaks and lunch? A8) The vendor is responsible for coverage during the hours of 6:00 am 2:00pm which includes breaks and lunch. Q9) If parking spaces in the valet area are not numbered, may the contractor number the spaces? A9) No. Q10) Is there secure storage space where supplies can be stored? A10) Yes Q11) Can Valet Drivers be allowed to wear shorts in the summer months? A11) No. Q12) For claims, is the operator expected to pay for the claims without reimbursement from the VA or simply remediate but pass the expense to the VA? A12) This is a firm-fixed price contract requiring Liability Insurance to be maintained for the life of the contract. Contractor is responsible for any damages caused by their employees, without reimbursement from the VA. Q13) Will there be an attendant s booth provided to each lot and a bathroom? A13) There is a booth established for the Parking Lot Attendant but not the Valet Attendants. Nearby bathrooms are accessible. Q14) For all expenses, such as supplies, podiums, uniforms are you expecting to pay for each items as purchased or are you expecting the contracted to have a fixed price to bill the VA and all expenses belong to the contractor? A14) This is a firm-fixed price contract. Q15) Is a technical capability statement a proposal? A15) A technical capability statement clearly and concisely describes how the offeror will provide all the required services in the SOW. Q16) You asked for a redacted file; what does that mean? A16) A redacted file should remove the name, address, UEI or any information that may be used to determine your companies identify. Q17) Can you provide a map of the parking lot? A17) Due to ongoing construction an updated map is not available. Q18) Can we use our cell phone time keeping app in lieu of a digital time clock? A18) Yes. Q19) Must we provide time sheets to the COR? A19) Yes.
