Description
Statement of Work: Repairs are needed to all the pins and bushings that control the steering and bucket on Front end Loader units N4505424. This unit is used for snow operations and as a result of frequent use and continued salt and sand exposure the pins have corroded and the bushings have worn out. The unit will need to be split apart for the articulation pins/bushings to be replaced and the bucket arms will need to be disassembled for the loader and pivot arm pins/bushings to be replaced. The unit will need to be inspected at NAVFAC PWD Great Lakes once repairs are completed. Background: On 10/27/2022 Front end Loader N4505424 was brought in to PWD Great Lakes to assess their condition prior to the PM. Once the repairs were identified the PWD reached out to the OEM manufacturer John Deere who recommended the local OEM dealer in Great Lakes for the repairs. The repairs need to be completed by a John Deere certified dealer in order to maintain the warranties related to this unit. Scope of Work: Work Highlights: Remove and Replace articulation pins and bushings Remove and Replace loader to bucket pins and bushings Remove and Replace bucket pivot pins and bushings In the event that the contractor discovers any other damage, work required, or parts requiring replacement beyond the scope of work in this SOW the Contractor will stop all work and notify the Contracting Officer that additional work or where associated parts are required for replacement. The Contracting Officer will make the determination to approve or disapprove any additional work. The Contractor will be responsible to keep all associated parts to be placed back on loader as close to OEM as possible after the repair. The contractor will be responsible for bringing the truck back to OEM specifications. The contractor will provide all management, labor, parts, and materials to complete these repairs. In event that the contractor damages any other piece of equipment during removal of the existing parts and during the re-installation of the components the contractor will be responsible for all costs for the additional damage. The contractor will complete a full function check of the system(s) to ensure it is back to operational specifications. The final function check / testing will be completed by the contractor. The government and contractor will verify the test results after the completion of testing to make sure it meets OEM Standards for the repairs that were completed under this statement of work.
