Description
This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. This is NOT a solicitation, and no solicitation documents are currently publicly available. This pre-solicitation notice is for Request for Quote Number 36C24224Q0352 - Project No. 630-XX-XXX-BK CLINCAL LABS MINOR IMPROVEMENT at Brooklyn Veterans Hospital located at 800 Poly Pl, Brooklyn, NY 11209. This project will be 100% Set-Aside to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Competition for this procurement is restricted to verified SBA Cert SERVICE- DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) Contractors. The SDVOSB must be a small business under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in https://veterans.certify.sba.gov. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 All Other Specialty Contractors, with a Size Standard of $39.5 million IAW VAAR 852.219-10 the VetCert (formerly VIP listed) SDVOSB. Prospective Contractor is required to perform a minimum of 15% of the construction work. SCOPE OF WORK: The requirement consists of minor improvements to the clinical laboratories at Brooklyn VAMC, including: 1) Installation of new seamless, chemically resistant, non-slip flooring in the Histology Lab, Room 3-301; 2) Removal of an obsolete fume hood unit in Room 3-301; 3) removal of an obsolete steam autoclave unit in Room 3-405; 4) removal of an obsolete walk-in refrigerator in Room 3-407. PROJECT COMPLETION: Contractor to start immediately after receiving the Notice to Proceed and complete required work in 120 calendar days. Prospective contractors must be registered and certified online with SBA VetCert https://veterans.certify.sba.gov and must be registered at https://www.sam.gov in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award. A site visit held for this project and all prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Details of the site visit will be included in the solicitation document. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on/about February 28th, 2024. All interested parties (subs & primes) should register for a user account which lets you save searches, follow changes to opportunities, and join interested vendor lists and verified as a SDVOSB in Veteran Small Business Certification (sba.gov) at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
