- Description
- The U.S. Army intends to award a Sole Source Contract to United Elevator Company of Richmond, Virginia under FAR Part 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.� United Elevator currently performs servicing and maintenance on the elevators at Ft. George Meade under contract W91QV122C0047 as well as minor repairs as needed.� Upon recent inspection, it was determined that (2) elevators require extensive overhaul. The overhaul / repairs of these two elevators requires ongoing preventive maintenance for the foreseeable future which is covered under the existing contract.� Contracting with another party for the maintenance of the (2) elevators would be duplicative in terms of costs.� � �
