Description
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to contract using other than full and open competition for the procurement of 2,416 copies of Drivers License Verification and Reference Guides for delivery to various locations. Ordinarily, the TSA relies on an automated technology to verify identification documents presented at airport checkpoints. Yet as with any technology, it is not guaranteed to be operable 100% of the time. As such, the use of alternatives in the form of (in this instance) Guidebooks or referential manuals are designed to serve in the event that the technology fails for any reason. The Guidebooks shall serve as an authoritative source to enable officers to make accurate and on-the-spot verification of the most commonly used drivers licenses and identification used in the security screening process at the approximately 450 airports in the United States. The guide shows every valid drivers license and identification issued by the various states, commonwealths, territories, and possessions of the United States, the provinces and territories of Canada as well as the federal Governments of both countries. These shall be documented in full size and in extreme detail to include all security features present in the credentials. Accordingly, the TSA intends to award a contract to UVeritech Incorporated / Fraud Fighter; 1743 S Grand Avenue, Glendora CA 91740. This contract will address the requirements of passenger identification, credentialing and verification at more than 450 airports within the CONUS as part of the Security Operations function within the Transportation Security Administration. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested vendors who may wish to seek subcontracting opportunities should contact the above named company directly.
