- The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center (ILSC) � Supply Chain Management Directorate (SCMD) � Strategic Sourcing Directorate (SSD), intends to acquire Parts for NSN 5810-01-391-4212, Part Number 36021523 (Cage Code: 24384) cable assembly, or equivalent form/fit/function cable assembly product. Requirements Description: This encryption cable assembly connects an STU-III or STE (Secure Telephone Unit / Secure Telephone Equipment) with a DB25 female interface to a DTD (Data Transfer Device such as KY-99, KY-99A or CZY-10) with a DIN Audio 6 female interface. The cable assembly is used to load a key from the DTD into a secure telephone.. The Government does not possess the technical data package (TDP) for the parts. The TDP is owned by the manufacturer. The Government estimates a requirement for a one-time delivery of 700 cable assemblies, however, the quantity may change. * ���� *This number is an estimate. The US Government cannot guarantee specific requirements. First Article Test (FAT) will be required if a source of supply has not previously provided the cable assembly to the government.� The following additional NAICS apply: 334290 Items and/or Services to Be Procured: NSN: 5810-01-391-4212 NOMENCLATURE: CABLE, RS232, DTD, STU PART NUMBER: 36021523 CAGE: 24384 Requested Response Information: We request that sources who can supply the listed parts or services to submit information to show their capability to manufacture or supply the same or similar parts/services. At a minimum the support information you submit should include, but is not limited to, the following types of documentation: Questionnaire. In your response, please include your company name, CAGE code, and a technical point of contract with email address and telephone number. Responders can provide additional information to describe their technical capabilities of manufacturing or supplying cables of the cable assembly, or an equivalent form/fit/function cable assembly, or a similar type of cable assembly.� Responders should answer the included Questionnaire.� Responders can also add comments that will help the Government to identify potential manufactures or suppliers. Interested sources that are capable of furnishing this item must send a response outlining a viable approach and describing their ability of meeting the Government requirements.� Respondents to this notice must provide enough information to demonstrate their capability to provide this item.� Notice, Response Due Date, and Points of Contact: This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this SSA or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this SSA. This Sources sought announcement (SSA) is for planning and market research purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from this announcement will be used to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business.� Furthermore, the Government will use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and/or to assist in making acquisition strategy decisions in the future.
