- Description
- 2024 ADVANCE PLANNING BRIEFING FOR INDUSTRY (APBI) MAY 6-8, 2024 The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Government Contracting Services (GCS), is excited to announce the hosting of an influential and pivotal event, the Advance Planning Briefing for Industry (APBI). This significant gathering is scheduled to take place from Monday, May 6, 2024, to Wednesday, May 8, 2024, and will be hosted at the HHS Hubert H. Humphrey Building in Washington DC. To ensure inclusivity and broader participation, the event will also offer a virtual attendance option. The 2024 APBI is themed Contracts for Change: Empowering Lives, Strengthening Communities. This event symbolizes a strategic initiative by GCS to broaden the industrial base of vendors capable of reinforcing the mission of ACFs twenty-one program offices. The core objective of APBI 2024 is to furnish industry partners with a detailed and forward-looking roadmap of prospective contracting opportunities, particularly those aligning with the fiscal objectives for the years 20242026. This foresight is intended to offer industry partners crucial strategic planning insights, enabling them to align their future objectives and capacities with the evolving needs of ACF. It is important to note that APBI is not a platform for formal bid submission from industry participants. Instead, its primary role is to facilitate an informative briefing by the Government on imminent contracting opportunities. This approach is designed to enhance the understanding of businesses regarding ACFs capability requirements, thereby fostering a more responsive and prepared industrial base. Key logistical details for the event are as follows: Registration: Opens on or around Monday, April 1, 2024. Event Schedule: Detailed agenda and program office presentations to be published on or around Sunday, March 31, 2024. Availability of Presentations: APBI presentations will be made accessible on or around Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Cost: Complimentary for both in-person and virtual participation. Attendance: In-person attendance is capped at 450 participants per day, subject to pre-reservation. Registration link will be available on SAM.gov. Participant Limit: Each company is permitted a maximum of two in-person attendees. Information Dissemination: Updates and details about the APBI will be regularly posted on SAM.gov and the GCS website (https://www.acf.hhs.gov/gcs). This APBI promises to be a transformative platform, offering unparalleled opportunities for industry partners to align with the Government's vision of empowering lives and strengthening communities through strategic contracting and collaboration.
