- Specific Procurement Notice April 16, 2024 Re: Curriculum Development Specialist Ref No: CDT-BEL-24-4000-06 1. The United States of America, through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), and the Government of Belize (The Government) or (GoB), have signed a Compact Development Funding (CDF) Agreement to help facilitate in the development and implementation of an MCC Compact with Belize (The Agreement) in the amount of US$10 million (MCC Funding). 2. The Compact Development program focuses on the alleviation of two binding constraints to economic growth in Belize: a. Education: Low quality of education leads to a shortage of trained professionals in all industries. b. Electricity: High cost of electricity drives up input costs for all industries. 3. The Government, acting through the Compact Development Team (CDT) of the Ministry of Economic Development, is hereby issuing a Request for Application, following the General Procurement Notice published on March 27, 2024 in DgMarket and UNDB, among other sites. 4. The primary objective of this assignment is to develop competency-based learning outcomes for Upper Secondary Math and English, and aligned with Belize�s National Curriculum Framework. 5. The CDT now invites Applications from eligible Individual Consultants to provide the Consultant Services as Curriculum Development Specialist. More details on these services are provided in the Terms of Reference of the Request for Application (RFA). 6. MCC requires that all beneficiaries of MCC Funding, including the Accountable Entity and any applicants, Bidders, Suppliers, contractors, Subcontractors, consultants, and sub-consultants under any MCC-funded contracts, observe the highest standards of ethics during the procurement and execution of such contracts. MCC�s Policy on Preventing, Detecting and Remediating Fraud and Corruption in MCC Operations (�MCC�s AFC Policy�) is applicable to all procurements and contracts involving MCC Funding and can be found on the MCC website at: https://www.mcc.gov/resources/doc/policy-fraud-and-corruption. 7. Contract duration and location. The location of the assignment is Belize. The Consultant will perform the tasks under this contract with at least 50% of the work taking place in Belize, with the option of conducting some of the work remotely. The assignment is for a period of Nine (9) Months. 8. The Consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures for selection of Individual Consultants set out in the MCC Accountable Entity Procurement Policy and Guidelines which are provided on the MCC website (www.mcc.gov). 9.
