- Description
- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is issuing a Sources Sought to determine if there are any Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), or Small Business (SB) that can provide annual preventative maintenance and calibration for four (4) Anton Paar MCR 102 rheometers at the District Currency Facility (DCF) in Washington, D.C. and Western Currency Facility (WCF) in Fort Worth, TX. A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached. This is a request for planning purposes and information only, and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids. Requests for Proposals, Quotations. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract, nor do they affect a potential offeror's ability to respond to any future synopsis/solicitation, which may or may not follow or restrict the U.S. Governments eventual acquisition approach. Additionally, the U.S. Government will not provide reimbursement for any information that may be submitted in response to this notice. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this notice. Performance Work Statement: This is a non-personal services contract to provide annual preventive maintenance and calibration services for four (4) Anton Paar MCR 102 Rheometer systems and associated parts so that the systems continually operate at an optimal level to deliver data that supports multiple projects and ensures that only high-quality material is used at production. As such, BEP needs responsive telephone/electronic mail support and an expert technician/engineer dispatched as often as needed for on-site services. This includes annual preventive maintenance, calibration, and replacement parts/software identical or fully compatible with original equipment, and all other requirements as defined in this PWS. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The proposed NAICS code is 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance and the business size standard is $34 million. Specifically, BEP is interested in businesses that are able to perform the requirement as stated in the PWS.
