DLA Land and Maritime is preparing to solicit the following one-time buy: NSN 3040-01-5765056 ITEM NAME Brake, Shoe Approved Source(s) Cage(s) & P/N(s) Farin Industries Inc, (3XYN6) & 7664298 Unit of Issue EA Quantity 1,213 Qty w/ 100% Option 2,624 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ The AMC/AMSC for the NSN listed above is 1/B AMC 1: Items found to be already competitive. AMSC B: This part must be acquired from a manufacturing source(s) specified on a source control or selected item drawingas defined by the current version of DoD-STD-100. Suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturingknowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources, nor qualification testing of another part, nor use ofa second source part in the intended application. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------- Please review the NSN listed above and provide any sources that may be able to manufacture these items. The approvedsources for this NSN are currently listed above. All information may be submitted directly to the Contract Specialist listedabove. This information must be provided by the response date indicated above. Should a company wish to be reviewed and qualified as an �Approved Source�, they may submit an application packagethrough the DLA Land and Maritime Alternate Off er/Source Approval Request (SAR) Program. A SAR package contains alltechnical data needed to demonstrate that the prospective contractor can competently manufacture the product to thesame level of quality or better than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The onus is on the contractor todocument and demonstrate their product is equal to, or better, than the currently approved item which DLA Land andMaritime is procuring.
