May 02, 2024 The RFI has been extended until May 24, 2024, 5pm EST. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- April 11, 2024 Q1: The application the Displays would be used in?� i.e. ground vehicle? A1: Military platforms including ground vehicles, amphibious vehicles and maritime vessels. Q2: The type of information being displayed?� DVE aid, Engine Data, etc. A2: GUI/camera for a remote weapon system and camera views for situational awareness cameras. Q3: Are these safety-critical displays? Any design assurance levels? A3: No, these are not safety-critical displays. Q4: Is there a target price point? A4: There�s no target price point. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey on behalf of the Product Director Crew Served Weapons (PdD CSW), located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is seeking information about Ruggedized Standalone High-Definition Displays that are currently available and meet the following criteria: Video Inputs: DisplayPort, HDMI, RS170 and/or DVI 1280x960 pixels or greater Screen display size (diagonal): primary interest 10 to 17 inches Standalone: Not requiring any separate modules to function (example: processor modules) Ruggedized for use in military environmental conditions: including operating temperature -50 degrees Fahrenheit to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and MIL-STD-1275 compliant. Potential sources are requested to submit the following information. Information papers can be submitted in a white paper format and/or a technical specifications datasheet. Responses should be limited to no more than 10 pages. Ruggedized Standalone High-Definition Display Description: Provide the description of the Ruggedized Standalone High-Definition Display. Characteristics: Part number(s) Screen display size (diagonal) Dimensions (length by width by depth) Specify connector locations (i.e. rear, side, bottom) Weight Screen resolution (horizontal pixels by vertical pixels) Input interfaces present Specify standard version for each (example: DisplayPort version 1.2) Electrical connector type: military standard versus commercial standard If military standard, provide connector part number and pinout Exceptions to video standards, if any Colors Refresh rate List input resolutions supported Scaling details Behavior when different ratio input (black bars, stretching, etc.) Latency/Lag times Input lag time Response time (specify black-to-white or gray-to-gray) Panel type (i.e TN/IPS/VA) Touch screen capability, if applicable Video feedback, if applicable (i.e. information communications that can be used to monitor/identify the status of whether video is present on display) Controls/Modes Brightness adjust, if applicable Contrast adjust, with ratios Blackout mode, if applicable Night vision imaging system (NVIS) compatibility (reference MIL-STD-3009) Luminance levels Viewing angle (horizontal and vertical) Special software licensing requirements, if applicable Power requirements Include whether MIL-STD-1275F compliant Mechanical mounting interface details (i.e. hardware required, location) Audio details, if applicable Reliability (i.e. MTBF) Level of maturity Expected procurable life (support/obsolescence details) Environmental specifications Operating temperatures Storage temperatures Vibration Shock Submergence/water tightness Thermal shock Drop test Altitude Sand/dust Electromagnetic compatibility Etc.
