THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT PROPOSALS. A SYNOPSIS OF THE PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION WILL BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE THAT WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR OFFERORS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY. The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) is conducting market research to determine the availability of qualified small business firms capable of providing mechanical construction services for replacement of the copper water piping system and related components at Building 110 on the CDC Chamblee campus located at 4770 Buford Highway, Atlanta, Ga 30341. The work requirements include: Performing phased work to install parallel chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) water lines and systems in interstitial floors. Constructing a separate riser system. Installing new ball valves to isolate systems and fixtures. Installing necessary replacement equipment. Performing the switchover to the new systems. Providing final as-built documents in AutoCAD for the project. The work will need to be scheduled in coordination with lab and other building end users in order to minimize disruption. Certain critical areas will need to remain operational during construction and the contractor will need to prepare a construction phasing plan that takes advantage of building closures or other slow periods such as holiday weeks and weekends. Due to the lengthy project duration, a 60-mile radius restriction has been established for eligibility. Therefore, the contractor must have an established office located within 60 miles of the CDC Chamblee campus. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors).� The current size standard for this NAICS code is $19 million average annual receipts for the firm�s preceding three fiscal years. The CDC is seeking a qualified small business firm to perform these construction services. Your business size metrics information entered in your SAM.gov registration must be less than or equal to the small business size standard specified above (see provision 52.219-1 in the Representations & Certifications section of your SAM.gov registration). � Interested small business mechanical contractors which can fulfill the scope of work as identified and meet the established geographic restriction are requested to respond to this notice by adding their business name to the Interested Vendors List for this posting by the sources sought response due date of May 20, 2024, at 2:00PM.�Please add your business�name only if you are interested in the requirement as a�Prime contractor and are capable and eligible to compete for and perform these services. This notice is intended only for those who would be entering into a Prime contract with the CDC.� Following the review of the interested firms who respond to this notice, a set-aside decision will be made, and a synopsis will be posted at a later date. This future synopsis will include additional information and instructions for responding to this opportunity.
