Description: The Defense Health Agency intends to solicit and award a Sole Source Firm Fixed award to provide a centrifugal blood pump that has a magnetically levitated impeller designed with no contact points which removes the point of friction that would result in heat and the formation of thrombus (blood clots).� The impeller�s design allows for the smooth edges to rinse blood off of the fins of the pump; minimizing trauma to blood.� This medical equipment is vital in providing life support to patients. �
