Description
THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR QUOTE; THE VA IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS. Solicitation 36C26024R0078 for project 668-24-110 Abate ACM in Room C005 Crawlspace in Building 1 for the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center shall be posted to Federal Contracting Opportunities on or about 28 May 2024. Drawings and specs will be posted for review as attachments to the solicitation. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after the solicitation is posted. This will be a 100% Set Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Period of Performance: The intended contract period of performance is 120 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Description of Services: The Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center seeks a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, commissioning, supervision, and all other resources necessary to perform services required for the following work: Encapsulate the exposed asbestos contaminated soil (ACS) in the large east-side mechanical space accessed from Room C005 using an appropriate product specified for the use of encapsulating friable ACM. Perform earthwork necessary after encapsulation is complete. Enclose the surface with a concrete layer of 4 minimum over the entire surface. Hire a licensed structural engineer (SE) to provide design for the reinforced concrete layer (conceptual design provided) SE will analyze the surrounding structural elements with the additional loading and provide a letter stamped and signed by a licensed SE stating the addition of concrete will not adversely affect the structural integrity of Building 1. Provide an Abatement Certification Report Work for this project will take place at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center located at 4815 N Assembly St, Spokane WA 99205. IAW FAR 36.204, the magnitude of this construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. NAICS Code(s): 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction: small business size standard is $45.0 million (January 2022 standards) The Government is not soliciting offers at this time. This is a pre-solicitation notice only. A solicitation is not currently available. This announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or to award a contract.
