- The Purpose of this Amendment is to: Extend the closing date to 05/31/2024 at 12:00 PM EST. Answer questions for RFQ# 36C24824Q0925. Question: Is this a brand new contract? Answer: Yes Question: Is there an incumbent performing these services? Answer: No Question: Provide the current / previous contract number? Answer: N/A Question: Is there an actual start date for the project? Answer: No Question: DA Steam Relief Valve Is this the relief valve directly on the DA tank(DASV), or the on the steam line feeding the DA tank, after the PRV (SRFPRV)? Answer: On the DA Tank Contractor stated-à( Per VHA safety device manual 8th edition, the DASV on the DA tank is required to have a capacity of approximately 1000 lb/hr., and setpoint pressure 5psig higher than normal DA Tank pressure, while the SRFPRV is required to have setpoint 5 psig higher than DASV, which may place it higher than the requested 15psig setpoint). Question: In absence of project specific plans and specs, will the new remote alarm panel be required to meet Master TIL 23 09 11, pp2.3.J. Annunciator? Answer: Yes Question: Is the intent to have the remote panel be a stand-alone unit, or will it need to communicate alarm states back to plant master or SCADA workstation? Answer: Needs to communicate with the SCADA Question: Are there additional contacts on the existing, local DA & Surge tank alarms that can be used for the remote panel, or will additional devices be required to be installed? Answer: No Question: Does the existing MSA CP Monitoring system have the expansion capability to accept the two new CO sensors, or will it need to be updated with the additional channels? Answer: Unknown. System is out for repairs. Cannot provide details on it. Question: What is the manufacturer s model number of the existing MSA CP Monitoring system? Answer: Unknown. System is out for repairs. Cannot provide details on it. Contractor stated--à(There are several controllers listed that are discontinued, so support for these older models may not be available.) Question: Is this CLIN for the wire required for the project, or is it for spares? Answer: Wire required for the project Contractor stated--à(The CLIN line item 5 requests separate pricing for qty(1) roll of wire. This does not specify the type of wire, number of conductors, length of spool, etc ) Question: Is this conduit for the installation portion of the project? Answer: Exact measurements should be taken by contractor. But Qty (10) is in 10 sections. Therefore the total length is approx. 100 Contractor stated-à(The CLIN line item 4 requests separate pricing for Qty(10) conduit. This line item does not specify length of each conduit, or size.) Question: Is the pricing for the wire and conduit to be removed from CLIN 2 & 3, and only include as parts the devices, hangers, fittings, and other misc. parts required for the installation? Answer: Pricing should include parts required for installation of conduit and wiring. Contractor stated-à(CLIN line items 2 & 3 requests pricing to include parts, labor and freight. The conduit and wire pricing for CLIN line items 4 & 5, would be included in the Parts portion of CLIN 2 & 3.)
