Description

In accordance with Section 888(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2017 (FY17) (Public Law 114-328) as implemented by Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 206.302-1(c)(2), the justification and approval (J&A) addressed in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.303 is required to use brand name or equal descriptions for the Monaco Fire Alarm System in the firm-fixed price construction contract for a Level I Regional Confinement Facility at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. The existing base fire alarm reporting system at Sheppard Air Force Base is a Monaco system and the supervising station is located at the main fire station, Building B1093. New equipment utilized in the Level I Regional Confinement Facility to communicate with the Base central station must be compatible with the existing Base systems. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. The submission must be received no later than 8:00AM Central Daylight Time on�20 June 2024�to brian.j.welch@usace.army.mil. Applicable item: Monaco Fire Alarm System This is not a request for proposal.
