System shall have operator programable sensitivity limitation settings. Detector(s) able to be mounted to entrance doorway of the current design for the magnet room (zone 3). Consideration of structural factors accordant for product include ability to mount on outside of cased opening with a seven (7) inch inset with permanent hardwired sign located eight (8) inches above door frame. The product shall be compatible for door with outswing operation only. See Appendix Basis of Design Product design consistent to existing position of power supply at 14 inches from framed casing of door. Must have standard AC power with no special requirements. Detector range must accommodate the seventy-two (72) inch high by fifty-three (53) inch wide coverage area. Designed to withstand potential impact of hospital equipment during patient transfers with MR safe equipment. On-site training for staff shall be provided for safe operation, problem-solving, and information on technical support. System must be ferromagnetic detector system designed to alarm on only ferromagnetic objects, shall not accept a metal detector designed to alarm on both ferrous and non- ferrous metal types. Complies with IEC 60601-1-8 AMD2:2020 ***Conforms to IEC 60101-1:2005 medical device specification requirements (the Ferromagnetic detectors are not considered to be medical devices; however, they are an integral part of the medical environment. As such, it is highly important that the power supply used in the detectors complies with standards for medical equipment used by the FDA, UL, as well as agencies around the world).
