THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE �This is a notice of the Government's intent to award a Sole Source purchase order under the statutory authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold(SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available(e.g urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization). This notice is being published in accordance with�Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 {""Synposis of Proposed Contract Actions,"" requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. The United States Court of Appeal for the Armed Forces (USCAAF) requires the ability to provide funding for the federally-permitted�transit benefit under 5 U.S.C. �7905�and Executive Order 13150. This requirement is to continue the participation in the federal transit subsidy program by providing Metro�s SmartBenefits and paper fare cards to employees at the� United States Court of Appeal for the Armed Forces (USCAAF) beginning August 1, 2024 to July 31, 2025, for the use of Metrorail, Metrobus, DC Circulator, Metro-registered van pools, DASH, Ride-on, Fairfax Connector, CUE and Loudoun County Transit. The Mass Transporation Benefit Program (MTBP) will be used for commuting benefits between home and work as well as work-to-work in the NCR. The Notice of Intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations.
