Description
Statement of Work Description Summary for Potential Contractors. Project Overview The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, equipment, labor, logistics, and supervision to achieve the project goals and performance standards detailed in the statement of work (SOW). Project Intent The contract aims to: Construct historic porches at the East, North, and West entrances of Building 10. Install fully functional EV charging stations at each of these porches. Project Requirements Historic Porches: Complete construction of porches at the East, North, and West entrances of Building 10. EV Charging Stations: Fully install and make operational EV charging stations at the B10 East Porch, B10 North Porch, and B10 West Porch. Performance Standards Adhere to all performance requirements, drawings, and specifications provided. Ensure that all installations and constructions are completed to the specified standards and are fully operational. Preservation Requirements Any work near the existing Historic Building 10 must be conducted carefully to prevent damage. Particular attention should be paid to preserving bricks, windows, doors, existing fascia or cornice work, columns, and panels. Potential bidders should ensure their proposals address all these requirements and include strategies for preventing damage to the historic features of Building 10 and porches that are included in the SOW. Administration The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $45 million. The solicitation is estimated to be issued around the 1st of August 2024. The period of performance is approximately 365 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. The VAAR Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to Zaire.Naylor@va.gov.
