- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.� Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to award a firm fixed price (FFP) purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) the Contracting Officer has determined only one brand to be reasonably available.� The Government intends to solicit for: MacArtney brand undersea electrical-optical-mechanical (EOM) cable and supporting equipment, as detailed in the attached solicitation.� This solicitation is a brand name, small business set-aside (justification attached).�� This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued.� Quotes are being requested under Request for Quotation (RFQ) no.
