- Description
- The government is currently unable to dewater the chamber, but this project will require the same floating plant capabilities as a dewatering. Repairs will include potential install of closure system and maintaining floating plant access throughout the remainder of the project. Miter gates will need to be completely removed from the chamber by floating crane and laid down for repairs and government inspection. Mobile cranes will need to be placed across the chamber to help facilitate reinstallation of anchor arms. The contractor will replace and rehab related components, to include anchor arms, pintle casting bolts, and diagonals.� Another component to this is to tension the diagonals in the wet after replacement and repair any structural cracking that is found. Diving will be needed to reinstall the gates onto the pintle balls.
