Description

INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20 anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price Construction Contract to Project Number 663A4-24-203 Replace HVAC HP3 at Building 19 at American Lake Campus, VA Medical Center, 9600 Veterans Drive Southwest, Lakewood, WA 98439 DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor and materials to completely prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, electrical, mechanical, painting, and perform other work for all labor, material, and equipment to perform a one for one exchange or better of the existing 1-HP3 unitary HVAC systems and all supporting apparatus vicinity Building 19 in accordance with the published contract design and specification. The new HVAC systems are to be installed and within tolerance delineated in the Manufacture s installation instructions. The new HVAC systems will be submitted in accordance with the contract submittal process and approved by the Government prior to the Contractor proceeding with any part of the scope of work. The existing HVAC outdoor condenser unit and associated mechanical equipment, once removed, becomes the property of the Contractor. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS Code is 238220 with a size standard of $19 Million. The solicitation is expected to be issued in Fiscal Year 2024. The period of performance is approximately 165-Calendar Days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000.00. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
