- Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract DLA Distribution intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to purchase and install (12) Rite-Hite SHR5000 Dok-Lok located at DLA Distribution Susquehanna, PA (DDSP) on a sole source basis to Arbon Equipment Corporation (large business). In accordance with FAR 6.203-1 �Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements and FAR 13.106-1(b) �soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.�� Arbon Equipment Corporation is a Rite-Hite company and licensed distributor, which maintains proprietary rights over its Dok-Lok systems, software, and parts. Arbon Equipment Corporation has specific territories and there is no open market competition between authorized dealers/distributors/servicers. Purchasing and installation services for the proprietary Dok-Lok systems may only be performed by Arbon Equipment Corporation technicians and no other vendors can acquire the parts.� Arbon Equipment Corporation is the only Rite-Hite distributor in the central PA area.� � Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. �A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 333924 with a small business size standard of 900 employees and PSC of 3990. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. A solicitation will not be issued for this procurement action or posted to the single Government Point of Entry, the SAM.gov website. All responsible sources may respond by submitting qualifications/capabilities statement of the company by June 14, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. EST to Brian Keckler, via email: brian.keckler@dla.mil for consideration by the agency.
