- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS This is a Sources Sought Notice for potential vendors to support the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation by supplying a GPS System for a Volvo EC 530 Excavator. The location for delivery is Cibola, AZ. This is NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ) and DOES NOT serve to bind the U.S. Government in any way. Interested parties shall not be reimbursed for any costs associated with preparation of their responses. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Upper Colorado Regional Office is conducting market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 to identify potential firms who are able to deliver the supply items below. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on SAM.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project will be a Firm-Fixed Price supply contract for supply, delivery, and installation of the relevant hardware, software, and installation labor to retrofit a new Volvo EC530 Excavator with the Trimble Earthworks software and Trimble hardware. Based on an onsite evaluation, the excavator needs a software code, an ECM, a 900 Mhz radio, and associated mounting hardware and wiring harness. The excavator will not have hydraulic machine control capability through the software. The following is a list of equipment that will be required. The equipment must be compatible with the Trimble Earthworks Site Positioning software/system utilized on Caterpillar heavy equipment. Proposed equipment must be compatible with the current base unit: base unit CPAC Model SID1.1 manufactured by CPAC systems. It is essential that materials provided must be able to integrate with the current system in use. If the items to be offered are not the specified Trimble Earthworks item�s please ensure they are able to integrate with the base unit CPAC Model SID1.1 manufactured by CPAC systems. The delivery and installation location is Cibola Wildlife Refuge, AZ. Contractor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM.gov) (see internet site: http://www.sam.gov). The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity. Based on the responses to this Sources Sought Notice/Market Research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses or procured through full and open competition. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. Firm's Capability Statement with affirmative statement all Brand Name or Equal supplies can be delivered and installed and are compatible with the stated base unit. Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform as stated above are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice no later than 4:00 p.m. Mountain Time, Friday July 05, 2024.
