- This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source announcement only. This is not a request for formal quotations. Any responses to this announcement will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. Purpose and Objectives: VISN 10, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, is issuing a notice of intent to pursue a non-competitive procurement with Bayer Healthcare for Bayer Medrad Intego Maintenance for the Indiana Healthcare System, Richard L. Roudebush VAMC (RLRVAMC), 1481 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46202. Bayer Healthcare has met the suitability criteria, as determined in accordance FAR 13, and the anticipated contract action is hereby publicized in accordance with FAR 5.101 and 5.203. The purpose of this notification is to communicate the Governments intent to solicit and award a non-competitive procurement for Medrad Intego maintenance for RLRVAMC. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL OR COST PROPOSALS OR QUOTES. The RLRVAMC requires a base year plus two (2) one-year options as a Firm Fixed Price, Definitive contract with Bayer Healthcare to provide the required services described herein. NAICS Code is 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance Size Standard is $34 Million. Product Service Code is J065 Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Medical , Dental and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies. This non-competitive award is implemented by FAR 13.5, as it is the only contractor who meets the suitability criteria as listed in the Statement of Work (SOW). The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under FAR Parts 12, and 13. The RLRVAMC has a requirement to establish a contract with Bayer Healthcare for a base period of one year to include two (2) one-year options to extend services. Market research has revealed only one source, and in accordance with FAR 13.501. CO s may use the non-competitive procedures up to $750,000.00. Leica Microsystems meets this criterion. Therefore, the Government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Bayer Healthcare THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, that shows clear and convincing evidence that your company is an authorized source to service Bayer equipment. All information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
