Description
This is a sources sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The Department of Veterans Affairs Salem VA Medical Center located at 1190 Roanoke Boulevard, Salem, VA 24153-6404 is seeking potential sources capable to collect fuel samples, test fuel, polish fuel, add fuel additives for the four 120,000-gallon Boiler Plant tanks at the Salem VA Medical Center. Collect fuel samples for all 4 fuel tanks and polish up to 120,000 gallons as needed of fuel as recommend per the testing results; Contractor will polish, treat, and provide post treatment report for tanks containing dyed ULSD; Add additives to the fuel to stabilize the fuel for 12 months in keeping with VHA regulatory guidelines; fill out paperwork for record keeping; report test results from all tanks in consolidated format. Contractor will provide a post fuel testing on all tanks that are required to be polished. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541620, This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing advice and assistance to businesses and other organizations on environmental issues, such as the control of environmental contamination from pollutants, toxic substances, and hazardous materials. These establishments identify problems (e.g., inspect buildings for hazardous materials), measure and evaluate risks, and recommend solutions; Small Business Size Standards $19 Million. Responses to this source sought notice should include the following: name and address of company, business size (large or small): identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories-8(a), HUBZone, Services Disabled Veteran-Owned/Veteran-Owned Small Business; provide a brief description of qualifications and any other pertinent information which demonstrates the ability to meet the above requirement.
