Description
The Department of Health and Human Services intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with John Hopkins University. Description: Supplement Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved (JHCPU) The mission of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Minority Health (OMH), is to improve the health of racial and ethnic minority populations through the development of health policies and programs that eliminate health disparities. The OMH seeks to support the development and publication of a Supplement Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved (JHCPU) dedicated to OMH-funded projects. The journal will be solely published by John Hopkins University Press. The supplement will contain 150-200 pages (12-14 papers) selected from abstracts submitted by OMH awardees, formatted as a combination of editorials, research articles, and other introductory text to provide guidance to the reader as to scope and content. The JHCPU supplement is directly aligned with OMHs unifying goal to spread and sustain evidence-informed policies and practices that promote minority health and health equity. The proposed supplement journal will be dedicated to effective interventions and approaches outcomes developed through OMH grant programs and include best practices related to the implementation of the National CLAS Standards, community engagement and the use of disaggregated data to address health disparities. This project will support a partnership with its Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved featuring outcomes and equity impact of OMH programs in August of 2025 and 2026. Responses The proposed acquisition action is for items and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501.
