THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. No Solicitation is currently available. All information contained in this Sources Sought Announcement is preliminary, as well as subject to modification, and is in no way binding on the Government. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this request. The information requested will be used solely within the Department of Veterans Affairs to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside of the Government. The determination of a procurement strategy, based upon the comments submitted in response to this Sources Sought Announcement, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance, size standard is $12.5M. Potential Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for an award (See Internet Site https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/). Potential Offerors must also have a current Online Representations and Certification Application on file with SAM. DESCRIPTION OF WORK 1.General: The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System (VASNHCS) has a requirement for a vendor capable of providing labor, tools, travel, equipment, parts, components, materials, and any other items necessary to inspect, maintain, and repair approximately 330 portable fire extinguishers at the locations specified below. The fire extinguishers listed shall be inspected and maintained in accordance with manufacturers established operating standards and applicable code requirements. The vendor is responsible for collecting all fire extinguishers and returning them back to their assigned locations after testing, maintenance, and recharging is completed. The Safety and Health Team will only provide access when needed. 2. Description of Services: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, other items, and non-personal services necessary to provide repair and maintenance for 330 fire extinguishers located at the following locations: § VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System, Reno, NV, 975 Kirman Avenue § Kietzke Campus at 5370 Kietzke Lane, Suite 105 and 203 § Double Eagle at 575 Double Eagle Court § Capitol Hill at 350 Capitol Hill Way § Eye Clinic at 2295 Kietzke Lane § East Campus at 1201 Corporate Blvd. § 3674 S. Virginia Street, Unit #4 § North Campus 1140 Selmi Drive § North Campus 1170 Selmi Drive Services Required include annual maintenance of portable fire extinguishers, recharging of fire extinguishers, hydrostatic testing, six-year maintenance and recharging of portable fire extinguishers, and annual inspections of fire extinguishers for the offsite locations. The vendor must complete the NFPA mandated annual maintenance inspections of portable fire extinguishers. In addition to the manufacturers specifications, the vendor s service technician(s) is to inspect extinguishers in order to meet the requirements of NFPA 10, Standard for Portable Fire Extinguisher Systems. Additionally, Records/results of inspection, testing, and maintenance must be submitted to the VASNHCS Safety Manager within 10 business days of completion of testing of each building or agreed upon section of a building. The Government requests that interested parties provide the following capability information to the Contract Specialist, Jill Williams by e-mail at: jill.williams@va.gov by 11:00am PST July 10th, 2024: (a)Business Size (Large/Small) (b)Business Socio-Economic Status (SDVOSB, WOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, etc.) (c)SAM record (d)DUNS number (e)Ability and experience with similar projects. (f)List of projects similar in scope. The Government will use this information when determining its business type decision. This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government and no contract will be awarded as a direct result of this Sources Sought announcement.
