- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only. This is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. No formal solicitation document currently exists. This request is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Your response to this notice will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. The NAICS Code is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors with a size standard of $19.0 Million. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential offerors capable of providing cleaning and maintenance services for the Marley 8-cell cooling tower at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center (130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468). The proposed contract action is expected to be a Firm Fixed Price contract with a 60-day period of performance, approximately August 15, 2024, through October 14, 2024. STATEMENT OF WORK SUMMARY: The James J. Peters VA Medical Center requires the following services: Check alignment of the fan cylinder and fan blades and adjust per manufactures recommendations. Pressure wash the fan cylinder and fan blades, hot water basins, drift eliminators, and the interior of the cooling tower Inspect the interior of the cooling tower and ensure system hygiene. Clean and inspect the fill. Flush debris from under the fill Vacuum all the mud and debris from the bottom of the cooling tower sump. Perform complete cleaning of sump screens including housing, drains lines, and grills. Remove and replace media sand filter material. Perform control panel and systems function check. Perform gearbox service. All work shall be completed in accordance with the following regulations: ASME PTC 23 2003(R2014) ASHRAE 90.1 and/or 90.1 1019 6.5.4.2. CTI standards ATC 105 2019 ATC 105S 2011, 201 OSHA standards Veterans Health Administration ES-2019-01 2021 and Directive 1061-2021 NY regulations 77/2015, guidelines 28-317.4 RESPONSE: Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's experience in delivering the service listed above, as well as capability of performing these services in the areas listed above. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, Sam UEI number, business size and Socioeconomic Category (HUBZone, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business, Small Business, Large Business, etc.), FSS Contract # if applicable, and point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number. Offerors will be required to be registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.com) prior to any future offer.
