Description

The Cryo-EM Core requires a Direct Electron Detector to replace the Gatan K2 Summit installed on the Thermo Fisher Talos Arctica cryogenic electron microscope. �The K2 is becoming obsolete after seven years of excellent service. The new detector should meet the capabilities of the K2, remain compatible with the microscope�s hardware and software as well as with the rest of the data collection and image processing pipelines. Expansion of abilities to include micro-electron diffraction studies on protein crystals is highly desirable. � The DED must meet the criteria listed in the Statement of Need, which is attached to this synopsis/solicitation.�
