- Description
- Title Nanocellect Biomedical Inc Wolf G2 Cell Sorter for the Department of Laboratory Medicine Product Service Code: 6640 NAICS Code: 541714 Place of Performance: Bethesda, MD 20892 USA POTS: 24-010416 Description This is a notice of intent, NOT a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will NOT be issued, and quotations will NOT be requested. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to Nanocellect Biomedical Inc. of San Diego, California 92121-2066 on a sole source basis to provide a Wolf GD Cell Sorter. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain a WOLF G2 Cell Sorter, 2-Laser (488nm&637nm) for isolating specific cell populations from humanperipheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) or blood samples. This cell sorter is needed to study cellular function, responses to various stimuli or treatment conditions, and for RNA sequencing and DNA analysis in NIH patients with severe immune disorders. Technically, the NanoCellect Biomedical WOLF and WOLF G2 Cell Sorters, N1 Single-Cell Dispenser, and CS1 Chiller-Stirrer have the following unique features that are exclusive to the WOLF and WOLF G2 Cell Sorters, N1 Single-Cell Dispenser, and CS1 Chiller-Stirrer respectively: WOLF and WOLF G2 Cell Sorters: 1. Value: The WOLF and WOLF G2 Cell Sorters are low-cost, fluorescence-activated cell sorters. 2. Ease-of-use: The WOLF and WOLF G2 systems can be operated by a novice on the first day of use. 3. Sterility and Biosafety: The entire fluidics path is supplied with the sorting cartridge and sterilized with ethylene oxide. The low-pressure system does not produce aerosols and does not require a biosafety containment system. The entire sample and sheath fluid paths are disposable, eliminating the need to perform decontamination. 4. No Cross-Contamination: Users have the option of using a fresh cartridge and tubing set when needed. 5. Quality Control: Automated sorting cartridge calibration built into software to ensure the highest quality of data for sorting decisions. Experimental templates can be saved and recalled ensuring repeatability and ease-of-use. 6. Portability: At less than 2 cubic feet and 44 pounds, the sorter can be routinely moved around the lab or into a laminar flow hood, as needed. 7. Viability: The large, 70x75 micron sorting channels and low-pressure (1.45 PSI) system increase viability over droplet-based sorters. 8. Two-way Sorting: The cartridge has a default path, as well as two sorting paths for simultaneous two population sorting. 9. Sample Input Flexibility: Ability to have different input volumes ranging from 250uL to 4.5mL and container formats (5mL tubes and 1.5mL microfuge tubes) without reconfiguration or interrupting ongoing sorting. 10. Sample Collection Flexibility: Ability to collect sorted cells in: 1.5mL and 5mL tubes, 96w plates, 384w plates. 11. Doublet Exclusion: Ability to use polygonal gating to exclude doublets 12. Volumetric: The only sorter that can dispense cells in a known volume. N1 Single-Cell Dispenser: 1. Sterility: The entire fluidics path is supplied and sterilized with ethylene oxide. 2. Viability: The large dispensing channels and low-pressure system increase viability over droplet-based sorters. 3. Disposability: Users have the option of using a fresh cartridge and tubing set when needed. 4. Portability: At less than 1 cubic foot and 5 pounds, the N1 can be routinely moved around the lab or into a laminar flow hood, as needed. 5. Accuracy: The system can place single particles in >90% of wells without the need for operator expertise. 6. Microfluidic Plating: The only microfluidic system that can do both bulk sorting and plating of cells in both 96 well and 384 well plates. CS1 Chiller-Stirrer: 1. Temperature Control: Users can adjust sample and sheath fluid temperature, ranging from 4C to 24C for sorting sensitive cell types. 2. Uniform Suspension: Users can stir samples with an adjustable range from 50-300 RPM Products *****See attached list of items required for this action. ***** NanoCellect Biomedical, Inc. is the sole manufacturer, distributor, and vendor of the Wolf G2 Cell Sorter. There is no other known available vendor that can meet the requirement. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements. The total dollar value of this requirement shall not exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT), $250,.000.00. Interested parties may submit capability statements in response to this posting by the closing date for review. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date specified in this announcement, electronically to the attention of Shasheshe Goolsby, Lead Contract Specialist, shasheshe.goolsby@nih.gov by July 18, 6:30AM EST. *** Please send your capability statements ONLY. This IS NOT a request for proposal. ***
