Effective Date: 02/01/2022 Page 14 of 14 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-08 (effective 10/28/2022). The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334510 - Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. The FSC/PSC is 6515 Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. Requirement The Edward Hines Jr. VAMC, Research Department, located at 5000 S. 5th Ave., Hines, IL 60141-3030 is seeking to purchase Deymed DuoMAG MP-Dual TMS System (BRAND NAME OR EQUAL). The Government intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to the quoter offering the lowest prices technically acceptable quote. Unless the offeror clearly indicates in its offer that the product being offered is an ""equal"" product, the offeror shall provide the brand name product referenced in the solicitation. DM70BFT 1 5 Deymed DuoMag 3 Pedal Foot Switch Programmable foot switch for DuoMag software DM-TPED 1 6 Deymed DuoMAG Installation and Training (Optional) DMTR2 1 Total Cost Brand Name or Equal Salient Characteristics Objectives To deliver precise stimulation to the femoral nerve under precise stimulation parameters. The system and coils must allow for accurate and near total activation of the peripheral nerve to elicit maximal (nonvolitional) muscle contraction. Tasks or Requirements The system must be able to deliver paired pulses through a single stimulation coil. The system must be capable of independently controlling the parameters from each stimulator. Selection Criteria Magnetic stimulators used for non-invasive stimulation of peripheral nerves and transcranial stimulation in human subjects. The system can be assembled as a dual unit to deliver paired pulses through a single coil. System is flexible to work to deliver pulses connecting two individual coils to deliver pulses across stimulation locations.
