- Description
- This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 - Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Omaha District, intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price Modification to increase the Contract ordering capacity to University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL), 2200 Vine St Box 830861, Lincoln NE 68503-2427, United States. The purpose of this acquisition is to increase the contract ordering capacity for Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) for implementing the Upper Missouri Basin (UMB) Soil Moisture and Snowpack Monitoring Network in order to allow the contractors to perform the full scope of the current commercial supply requirements for the UMRB Snowpack Monitoring program that were originally awarded under FAR 6.302-1. The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is 10 (USC) 3204(a)(1) and (b)(B) (b)(B) as implemented in as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302--1(a)(2)(iii)(A) and (B) 1(a)(2)(iii)(A) and (B) -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 924120 - Administration of Conservation Programs - Weather research program administration.� THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. If no affirmative written responses are received by 2pm CDT on 25 July 2024, an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. Responses and question shall be submitted to:� mika.n.mahyenga@usace.army.mil. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is not responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
