- � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � THIS DOCUMENT IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION 12970224R0055. The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) is issuing a Pre-solicitation Notice prior to the issuance of Solicitation 12970224R0055 for A&E Services in NC, KY, and TN. 1. About the Forest Service Established by Congress in 1905, the mission of the Forest Service is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the nation�s forests and grasslands to meet the needs of present and future generations. We manage public lands in the form of National Forests and National Grasslands, provide technical and financial assistance to state and private forestry agencies and make up the largest forestry research organization in the world. 2. Description of the Work Work for this project requires the AE to be responsible for supplying all labor, materials, equipment, utilities, miscellaneous items, freight, delivery, and all necessary valid licenses for the work summarized as follows: 1. Base Item No. 1- Jacobs Creek (JAC) Egress. 2. Base Item No. 2- Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ), Gym and Brick Trade drainage. 3. Base Item No. 3- Oconaluftee (OCO), Multiple Building HVAC 4. Base Item No. 4- Schenck (SCH), Lift Station Generator 5. Base Item No. 5-Frenchburg (FRE). Lift Station Generators 3. Project Location ����������� A. Jacobs Creek (JAC): This project is located at the Jacobs Creek Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center located 32 of miles from Bristol, TN, in Sullivan County. Johnson (LBJ): This project is located at the Lyndon B. Johnson Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center located 8.6 miles from Franklin, NC in Macon County. Oconaluftee (OCO): This project is located at the Oconaluftee Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center located on the East side of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Schenck (SCH): This project is located at the Schenck Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center located 5.3 miles from Brevard, NC, in Menifee County. Frenchburg (FRE): This project is located at the Frenchburg Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center located 10.5 of miles from Frenchburg, KY, in Menifee County. The address is 6969 Tarr Ridge Road, Frenchburg, KY 40322. Driving instructions can be obtained from the Center by calling (606) 768-2111. A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation package is tentatively anticipated to be available electronically via the government official website Sam.gov in July 2024 for a period of 15 days. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the website for all communication regarding this requirement, including downloading the complete solicitation package and all solicitation amendments. The government will not provide paper copies or email the solicitation. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered and complete the online Representations and Certifications at Sam.gov. 1. Set Aside: 100% Small Business Concerns 2.
